#FPF – Week 20
Don’t get comfortable.
Comfortable is dangerous. What do I mean? When you are comfortable you stop climbing, and when you stop climbing other people take your spot at the top of the hill.
- If you’re in a relationship, comfortable means you’re in danger of someone showing your mate that they are a better companion than you are.
- If you are an employee, comfortable means you run the risk of someone else getting the attention of your boss – beating you out for the promotion that you thought was in the bag.
- If you’re a business owner, comfortable means you are in danger of a competitor swooping in and stealing your clients out from under you.
Everyday, there are people who get out of bed for the sole purpose of eating your lunch, beating you and becoming number 1 in your industry. In some cases they have a lot of catching up to do still and in some cases they are closer than you may realize.
If you’re still reading this, you’re a fan of the climb and the hustle and genuinely don’t want to look up to see a competitor has leapfrogged you. If that’s true, this message is your boost of energy and reaffirmation that you need to keep going.
You worked too damn hard to let someone take your clients/customers.
Now That We Have You Climbing Again…
This is your time to see what competitors in your space aren’t working as hard as you are and use the opportunity to garner attention from those that would rather do business with you because they are drawn to your drive and passion. It’s infectious. Don’t stop. Keep climbing, keep looking up.
Thank you for reading and have a great weekend!
